The Reading is a Horror Thriller movie on BET+ that brings a terrifying take on what happens when a seance goes out of control.
The movie follows author Emma who has lost her family in a violent home invasion that she herself somehow survived. Now, years later she has agreed to a reading by Sky, for the publicity of her new book.
Sky too has agreed to do a reading after many years as it offers a lot of money. Her past experiences have led her to stop practicing the occult practice as she had come too close to being possessed.
But as the Reading progresses, Sky summons evil spirits into the house and is then possessed by the spirit. With the interview crew, Emma and Sky now trapped in the new fortified home of Emma, they must find out a way to get rid of the spirits and make an escape.
Cast of The Reading
Mo’Nique plays Emma with Chasity Sereal as Sky in the BET+ original movie. Courtney Glaude and Lee Daniels direct the movie with story from Glaude.
